IBDX

Intro
IBDX Panel - advanced Crohn's Disease Assay
ACCA IgA, ALCA IgG, gASCA IgG & AMCA IgG IBD does not have a constant appearance, varying according to locations, behaviors, severities and activities. Considered a multifactor disease, as a result IBD requires a combination of serological markers (a panel) for a full diagnosis. Glycominds' IBDX panel is the most reliable and cost-effective blood test for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) diagnosis and the prognosis of Crohn's Disease. ALCA, ACCA and AMCA, our novel glycan-antigens together with gASCA - Glycominds' 2nd generation and improved ASCA, provide superior tests in helping to diagnose and predict your patients' conditions. The panel has been proven to be one of the most cost effective tools for the first stage of IBD diagnosis The serological tests do not require any invasive procedures and are relatively inexpensive compared to any other invasive diagnosis tools available in the market.

Several studies' results show that ACCA, ALCA and AMCA are all associated with innate immunity and defense in system genes, and with severe and complicated Crohn's disease, as well as with a probable need for surgery. Equally important - a panel of serological markers can define Crohn's Disease patients with different disease outcomes.

The IBDX panel enables the identification of CD patients months before clinical symptoms appear, and can be used already at disease onset, predicting more aggressive disease prior to disease progression. The IBDX panel benefits your patients by enabling earlier diagnosis, while foregoing the immediate need for invasive procedures, and enabling accelerated and more accurate treatment. Additionally, it has been shown that early diagnosis of IBD can prevent complications, including colon removal in 25% to 40% of UC patients (NIH, NIDDK, 4/00).

The IBDX panel is a high sensitivity product featuring ~ 80% sensitivity more than any other serological test available, due to its unique sugar chemistry, and its innovative array of gastro markers. Employing gASCA in combination with ALCA, ACCA and AMCA allows 95-99% specificity for CD - an extremely high specificity. ALCA ACCA and AMCA can identify 30-45% of ASCA negative CD patients as validated in verity of populations. Furthermore the panel has a high positive predictive value which is convenient and reliable for specific screening and monitoring of high risk groups.

IBDX Panel: Major Prognostic Benefits & Features:
Implementing Glycomind's IBDX serology panel testing at any stage in the analysis of your patients' disease characterization work-ups, provides you with highly accurate additional information for clearer diagnosis and disease prognosis. This enhances your ability to manage the disease and offer patients the very best in individualized and effective treatment for their disease.

IBDX panel testing is an excellent tool for making decisions regarding IBD and CD patients:
Over 90% positive prediction value (PPV) for IBD diagnosis when compared with other GI diseases
Over 85% PPV for the differentiation between CD and UC
High Risk (Relative risk and hazard ratio over 2) for CD patients with two or more positive IBDX markers
Additional Prognostic Benefits:
CD severity
The IBDX panel predicts severity and complications of CD (strictures, fistulas and the need for surgery). Additionally, the panel is an excellent aid for the selection of appropriate treatment options (i.e. - steroid reduction, the use of biological if and when required…). Crohn's disease improved diagnostics including Family Screening IBDX panel enables you to identify CD patients at higher sensitivity and specificity and even predicts CD patients before clinical symptoms.

Pediatric and Young Patients Testing
IBDX is a simple, non-invasive solution ideal for testing pediatric and young sufferers of Crohn's Disease.

High sensitivity for CD
~ 80% sensitivity for CD more than any other kit due to unique sugar chemistry and an innovative panel of gastro markers.

High specificity for CD
Employing gASCA in combination with ALCA, ACCA and AMCA allows for 95-99% specificity.

Identify ASCA negative Crohn's Disease patients
ALCA ACCA and AMCA can help you identify 30-45% of ASCA negative CD patients.

Correlation with CD genes
Recent studies correlate gASCA, ALCA and AMCA with mutations and genetic variants in innate immunity genes associated with CD.
